How do I hire a Bounce Around Castle?

How much room is required for the castles?
Each castle is different. Please check our range of castles to decide which is best for your event and a general rule, simply add 0.5 metres all around for pegs and the blower. Please also make sure there is access to power close by.

Who is responsible for delivery and setup of the castle?
The delivery, set up and dismantling of our castles is our responsibility and is included as part of the castle hire.

When are the castles available for hire?
Our castles are available for hire seven days a week, all year round including public holidays.

What access is required for the castle?
Please allow at least 1m for our castles. Advise our staff upon booking if there are any steps as our castles are up to 170kg and may require assistance to get the jumping castle to the set up area.

How long does it take to set up the castle?
It takes us around 20 minutes to completely assemble the castle.

How long does it take to dismantle the castle?
It takes us around 25 minutes to dismantle the castle.

What is the latest time I can have the jumping castle?
Provided you have adequate lighting there is no limit as to how late you may hire a castle for. Even overnight hires can be catered for, just ask us!

How much weight can the castles hold?
Our medium castles (4m x 4m), will hold up to 360kg's, and the large castle will hold up too 500kg's.

Are your castles safe?
Our electrical equipment has emergency cut off switches and we provide mats around the entrance of the castle. So while our equipment is safe, the onus is on you as the hirer to observe all safety guidelines and to ensure a responsible adult is there to supervise whenever the castle is in use.

Are your castles clean?
Yes, they are vacuumed and cleaned with an antibacterial solution after every hire.

When do you deliver?
We try to be flexible as possible so please ask at the time of booking if you need a specific time slot. We do of course give precise times if the hire is booked for an indoor venue, such as in community centres, halls or if the hire is for a school fete or fund-raising event.

Do you cater for adult castle hire?
No, our castles cater to the age of 13.

What sort of surface can the castles be set up on?
As long as the surface is flat and level we can set up the jumping castle on grass, concrete, asphalt and pavers. The ground must be free from any sharp objects that may cause damage to the castles.

Do you have insurance?
Yes! Bounce Around Castles carries $10million public liability insurance.

What payment methods do you accept?
Cash on delivery. No personal cheques will be accepted.

Do you require a deposit?
No. Full payments are made on the day of the hire.

What happens if I cancel my booking? There is no cancellation fee.

What happens if it's windy or it rains?
All of our castles come with covers to protect the children from the sun and the rain. This means the kids can continue to enjoy the castle. In the event of strong winds or heavy rain, Bounce Around Castles reserve the right to cancel the booking if we feel safety will be compromised. If this is the case, we will contact as soon as possible to discuss the matter.

Does someone need to supervise while the castle is in operation?
Yes. For the safety of the children who will use the castle, a responsible adult over 18 years of age must supervise the castle at all times. There will be training given in the operating instructions for the castle on the day of the hire.

Do you supply any safety instructions?
Yes, we provide detailed safety instructions with every hire.

How far in advance do I need to book?
Book sooner rather than later. That way you will have the best possible selection to make your special event a success.

Do you require a deposit for the booking?
No. One of the Bounce Around Castles team will call in advance to confirm your booking.

Can we move the castle during the hire period?
No, please do not attempt to move the castle once set up due to safety requirements.

What happens if we damage the castle?
If the damage is considered by us to be malicious then you will be liable for the full cost of repairs, transport costs associated with the repairs and the loss of business costs while the castle is repaired. We strongly suggest that you check the castle before the delivery person leaves, and note any problems.

Are there any special requirements?
Castles cannot be set up near power lines, over hanging trees or sharp objects. An electrical power socket must be supplied to power the electric inflating blower that must run at all times.

Is there anything else I need to know?
Please be aware that shoes, jewellery, streamers, party poppers, silly string, face paint, chewing gum, food and drink MUST BE KEPT AWAY from the castle at all times. If any of these items come in contact with the castle and it has been damaged, you will be liable for the full cost of repairs, transport costs associated with the repairs and the loss of business costs while the castle is being repaired.
